Vietnam Spectacular 14 Days / 13 Nights

Our excellent guide to Vietnam will take you on a culture packed tour of Vietnam, which takes you through from Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, to spectacular Halong Bay, then to old town Hoi An, Hue, to beach city Nha Trang, Dalat and ends in Ho Chi Minh City and into the Mekong Delta in Vietnam. This is a small group tour – there will never be more than 15 persons per group – and we don’t just show you the sights in famous cities in Vietnam but you will get to know the Vietnamese people and take away a feeling for the warmth of welcome from Vietnamese local people, for whom a smile is never far away.

Itinerary details

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival

Upon arrival at Hanoi, you will be welcomed by Global Travel 's guide and transfer from Noi Bai airport to a hotel.for check in. Welcome dinner featured with Vietnamese food at restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi half-day city tour - Halong (B, L)

Breakfast at hotel. Your tour starts with a visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One pillar pagoda. The next stop is Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first college - Quoc Tu Giam, then roaming around Hoan Kiem lake. Lunch at a local restaurant then transfer to Halong Bay in the afternoon. Dinner at Royal restaurant. Overnight in Halong Bay.

Day 3: Halong (B)

 Breakfast at hotel. The 4 hour boat cruise will give you a chance to enjoy the breath-taking beauty of Halong Bay - the World's Natural Wonder, visiting Thien Cung Grotto, Dau Go cave, Cock Fighting islet. Lunch with fresh seafood on boat. Afternoon, drive back to Hanoi. Evening is reserved for Water Puppet Show. Dinner and overnight in Hanoi.

Day 4: Hanoi - Hue (B)

Breakfast at hotel. Pick up and transfer from your hotel in Hanoi to the airport for the flight to Hue. Pick up and then transfer to your hotel in Hue. Take a trip to visit Hue City and King's tombs (Khai Dinh's Mausoleum). Dinner in Hue with Royal Speciality. Overnight in Hue.

Day 5: Hue City Tour (B)

 Breakfast at hotel. Boat trip to visit Thien Mu Pagoda and Minh Mang's Mausoleum. Visit the Imperial Citadel in the afternoon. The tour ends by shopping at Dong Ba Market. Dinner at a garden restaurant with Vietnamese food. Overnight at hotel in Hue.

Day 6: Hue - Da Nang - Hoi An (B)

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Da Nang. Spend time in Lang Co beach en route, taking photographs from Hai Van Pass (The pass of Sea and Cloud). Visit Cham Museum in Da Nang. Afternoon visit Marble Mountain and enjoying sea/sun bathing on China beach. Arrive in Hoi An. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 7: Hoi An (B)

 Breakfast at hotel. Visit Hoi An - an old trading town, some 30km from Da Nang. Visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, Tan Ky Old house, Assembly Hall Chinese, Phuc Kien Pagoda, Hoi An Museum and Market. Lunch and dinner at restaurant. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 8: Hoi An - Da Nang - Nha Trang (B)

 Breakfast at hotel. Transfer from Hoi An to Da Nang airport for flight to Nha Trang. The guide will welcome and escort you to the hotel. The rest of day is open to explore Nha Trang or spend time on the beach. Lunch and dinner at restaurant. Overnight in Nha Trang.

Day 9: Nha Trang Countryside + Waterfall Tour (B, L)

Driving through miles of flat rice fields to a rural village, enjoy the opportunity to interact with the local people as they go about their daily lives, with farming and cottage industries as their primary source of income. Tourists can take photos of Amitabha Buddha statue at a height of 68 meters.  Traditional professions: Rice paper making: One of the most typical food from rice steamed and processed into round piece dried in the sun on the bamboo brackets that are on sale in the inns or shops. Conical hat making village: Manual skill work by women, it's also your gift for your friends when toward home. Reach to Yangbay Waterfall. 48km from Nha Trang. Enjoy the feeling of crocodile fishing. Take a tour around Yang Bay Park by electric car and take photos of the waterfall. Have lunch in the  restaurant with Crocodile or Ostrich meat. Participate in folk game: Pig racing. Feed wild bears with pumpkin. Relax in hot mineral water at the hot spring.. Return to Nha Trang, at leisure. Overnight in Nha Trang

Day 10:  Nha Trang River Cruise (B, L)

Travel down the Cai River to observe the peaceful life of the villages along Nha Trang ' s waterway and witness the daily life of the local people. The trip begins with a visit to the Ponagar Temples. An outstanding example of Cham architecture, situated on Mount Cu Lao this hillside offers panoramic views of the surrounding. From here board the riverboat for the leisurely cruise cruise visiting Cu Lao Fish market. This fish market is the place where all the fishermen gather in early morning to deliver sea food which will be distributed all over markets in Nha Trang City . Tourists can drink coconut milk on coconut island. Take a horse carriage to visit a wide range of local handicrafts in production, tourists can enjoy the beautiful scenery that unfolds along the banks, experience and make acquaintance with local people in their natural scenery & daily life such as: Rush mat weaving: Sedge mat is popular to all people in tropical weather. Two people working together will weave just four mats in a day, which will be taken to the local market and traded for food and other essentials. Tourists can try weaving. Pagoda Orphanage: where it shelters and cares for over 120 abandoned, orphaned or street children. They range from several months to 9 years of age. The children of the orphanage are taken care of by a group of Buddhist nuns and volunteers. Their goal is to provide the children with a safe and caring environment which lessens their misfortune and gives their lives greater purpose and meaning. Being a private organization, the orphanage is trying to provide its children food, shelter, health and education. The nuns and volunteers at the orphanage have devoted their lives for the wonderful mission - helping the orphans. Ancient house: visit a family and see a typical Vietnamese country house with your own eyes an ancestors' shrine, a kitchen. Enjoy fresh fruits and green tea. Enjoy a sumptuous lunch at a riverside restaurant with pastoral specialty. Relax and gain your health in Mud bathing at the Hot Spring Center .

Return to Nha Trang. Overnight in Nha Trang

Day 11: Nha Trang - Da Lat (B)

After breakfast, leave Nha Trang for Da Lat - The charming city in the Highland. Visit Hoa Binh market, Prenn Water Fall and Tuyen Lam Pagoda in Da Lat, Flower Garden, Former Palace of Emperor Bao Dai - The last Emperor of Vietnam Dinner and overnight in Da Lat.

Day 12: Da Lat - Ho Chi Minh City (B)

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Ho Chi Minh city. You will pass through many large coffee farms and rubber forests to reach the most bustling city in Vietnam. Also visit La Nga market on the way. Arrive Ho Chi Minh city in late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 13: Ho Chi Minh City - My Tho - Mekong Delta (B, L)

 Breakfast, then drive southward to Mekong Delta. Boat trip in My Tho through tiny canals and quiet villages. Lunch in a nice local restaurant with an inside garden. Afternoon transfer back to Ho Chi Minh city with a stop over at Vinh Trang pagoda for visiting. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 14: Departure (B)

Breakfast at hotel. Free time until transfer to airport for departure. Global Travel can arrange additional customized trips for you if the above itinerary does not match your expectations.
